Need to send documents to people who might not be using the same word processor as you or even the same operating system? How about sending the info to them via a PDF document? PDFs are nice since nearly everyone has the Adobe drivers loaded on their machines these days. But creating PDFs can be difficult and/or expensive. Unless, of course, you're using Primo PDF (http://www.primopdf.com). Let's start with the best news ... Primo PDF is free. Yes, FREE. Just download the installer and run it on your machine. Primo PDF installs as a printer driver. After that, all you have to do is run your word processor (or any other program that can print information to the printer) and when you are ready to create the PDF document, open the Print dialog. You should see a dropdown box at the top of your Print dialog that displays the name of your default printer. Click the down-arrow button and select the Primo PDF printer. Now just click print. After a few seconds (or longer if you're on an old computer) a new dialog will appear and ask you where you want to save the PDF. Just give it a file name and your PDF will be created. Primo PDF will also launch the PDF so you can see how it looks. Creating PDFs doesn't get much simpler than that. I use this program all the time.
