If you're like me and you need a decent little image viewer but don't want to pay even a decent little price, take a look at FastStone Image Viewer (http://www.faststone.org). The latest version (v 2.4) was released on March 15, 2006. It's a free package but includes lots of cool features. This nice little program lets you
- browse through your images,
- convert formats,
- fix red-eye,
- rotate,
- resize,
- crop,
- annotate,
- scan and more.
The program doesn't do everything. It's not a full-fledged image editor, however, it does allow you to link in your favorite editor for quick access.
FastStone also has several other packages (a screen capture utility, batch photo resizer, and more). I haven't tried them but I'd bet they are of good quality, too.
